there's a difference between just Dragon Slash and the Imbagon, Warrior version...
Dragon Slash is fine as it is, the problem is all those PvE only skills that make PvE way too easy. no I'm not talking just about Ursan... I'm talking about Save Yourselves, Brawling Headbutt(which isnt that bad by itself but is problematic when used with Dragon Slash Imbagon) and other crap as well...
take an example of the PvP version of Dragon Slash, it's much better than the gay and boring PvE version... however when you want to PuG as a Warrior in rather difficult(considering its a PuG) areas than you'll need to run Dragon Slash Imbagon or you wont get into the PuG...

I like the Dslash build because it means I can run 5 skills that have nothing to do with the build but enhance it in some way.
ie: [summon ice imp][Ebon Vanguard Assassin Support][charm animal][great dwarf weapon]
Lots of possibillities for skills from a secondary profession as well just to make it a bit more fun and interesting.

I admit I find playing the standard D Slash build to be pretty boring, but it's such a great build it would just lower my usefulness in a group if I didn't use it. This is what I use when I don't play D Slash - [[Eviscerate], [[Executioner's Strike], [[Enraging Charge], [[Flail], [[For Great Justice!], [[Save Yourselves! (Luxon)], [[Finish Him!], [[Whirlwind Attack] and some Resurrection Scrolls.

Why are you using both Finish Him and Evis?

Iono - just for the heck of it.
OK, I'll be honest - I had typed out the skills I used to use before I started using D Slash and realized I only had 7 skills up - so I just picked a good one - I'm sure [[Disrupting Chop] would be better.

[you move like a dwarf] would be a nicer fit to your build, just my thoughts though...

I would say D-Slash is more on the lines of Evis although no condition like Crip Slash.Triple Chop is more like 100 Blades.
I just really like D-Slash and never get bored of it it is like Evis and Devastating as well.

I lol'd.
Whirlwind Attack is all the AoE you'll ever need, btw. On a DS bar, it totally pwns TC - let alone HB

dragon slash makes me feel not lame because I don't UB.
I use SY but heh, it's great synergy so it must be pro.
The above is to be said on the most serious tone you can.
I don't like Dragon slash, because I don't like swords :<
I don't find it fun either, so I go axe with weird builds I have fun with.

lol :P i unno but i do Quivering Blade for fun when i occasionally get bored of D-Slash, but otherwise it's my main build. i unno, it's not the DPS. probably just the damage i like, which is like half of the point of being a warrior

/Agree.
In the hands of a generally experienced frontliner, this skill is powerful in PvE.

You laugh, but just wait. Hundred blades will get buffed soon and if/when it does, hopefully it won't be as crap.

I was making a comparison between the two and they both go great with Whirlwind although I don't use WW attack.

People have been waiting for the hundred blades buff since before it was nerfed. (Early 05)
EDIT: Oh, and I use DSlash because it's better than any alternative. Ursan is cool and all, but SY saves my H/H's asses alot more often than running Ursan ever did. I still use Ursan occasionally for areas like Slavers' (rediculously stupid in HM) and DoA simply because you can't find any other group.

I stopped using DS months ago because the build's too boring to play, I don't like relying on silly PvE skills(SY) to beat PvE and I simply love using eviscerate.
